Job summary

ACSO's Men’s Reintegration Service is a statewide program delivering re-entry support to people in prison and after their return to the community. Working with each client, the program helps address barriers to community reintegration and supports a positive transition.

The position involves Through-Care Post Release Support across Rockhampton and Gladstone, building reintegration plans and linking clients to housing, employment and services.

Qualifications

• Diploma-level qualification in Social Work, Justice, Psychology, Community Services or Welfare Studies.
• Ability to manage a caseload autonomously in custody and community.
• Experience using case management systems and writing case notes.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.

Responsibilities

• Provide Through-Care Post Release Support to eligible clients in Rockhampton and Gladstone.
• Engage with clients in custody and after release to develop reintegration plans.
• Assist with housing, employment and access to services.
• Attend Capricornia Correctional Centre 2 days per week and Gladstone hub as required.
