Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse for the Sutherland facility to cover AM, PM and Night shifts. You will conduct comprehensive resident assessments, develop and monitor care plans, and ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

We value strong clinical judgement, effective communication, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining person-centred care and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Experience in residential aged care is desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Sound knowledge of medication management and clinical documentation.
• Understanding of aged care quality standards and relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

Casual | Registered Nurse | Sutherland

Our Sutherland facility is seeking a Casual Registered Nurse to work across AM. PM and Night shifts.

What You’ll Do:

• Carry out initial and ongoing assessment, planning, and management of nursing care for residents

• Develop personal care plans to ensure residents’ individual needs are identified and met, and monitor any changes in care plans

• Participate in quarterly care plan evaluations, or more frequently as needed

• Ensure all documentation required for quality care is prepared, maintained, monitored, evaluated, and up to date in accordance with SCC policies and procedures

• Ensure completion and accuracy of all ACFI claims

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Previous experience in residential aged care is desirable.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
