Job summary

Southern Cross Care (NSW & ACT) is seeking a Permanent Part-Time Registered Nurse at Penrith Thornton Park. The role runs Monday to Friday (6.45am to 2.45pm), 75 hours per fortnight, with full working rights in Australia and no visa sponsorship. Base pay ranges per hour plus benefits.

You will perform assessments, plan and review resident care, maintain documentation, and support ACFI submissions within a collaborative team. Senior staff expect commitment to high standards of person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 1 year experience as an RN in an aged care setting.
• Strong commitment to high-quality, person-centred care.
• Solid understanding of State and Commonwealth Aged Care legislation.
• Full availability to work required shifts.
• Working knowledge of AN-ACC, including assessments, documentation, and funding submissions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, planning and managing nursing care.
• Develop and reviewing individualised care plans to meet residents’ changing needs.
• Participate in quarterly care plan reviews (or more frequently where required).
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in line with SCC policies and quality standards.
• Ensure the completion and accuracy of ACFI claims.
• Support best practice clinical care in a collaborative team environment.
