Job summary

Arcare Aged Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, person-centred care to residents in our Townsville aged care setting. You will work within Arcare’s values and clinical standards, delivering comprehensive nursing care, monitoring health, and supporting families.

Responsibilities include wound management, care planning, documentation using eCase, pain management, emergency response, and end-of-life support.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA Registration (essential)
• Sound knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards
• Adaptable, passionate, and eager to learn
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Friendly, professional, and effective communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care including health assessments, vital signs, and medication management
• Wound management including assessment, treatment and infection prevention
• Care planning and development of individualised care plans
• Maintain accurate clinical records and document changes using eCase
• Pain management and addressing pain concerns with appropriate strategies
• Emergency response to medical events
• End-of-life care and compassionate support to residents and families

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, person‑centred nursing care that promotes positive outcomes for residents, while adhering to Arcare’s values, policies, and professional clinical standards.

• Clinical Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care, including health assessments, monitoring vital signs, and medication management

• Wound Management: Assess, treat, and manage wounds while preventing infection
• Care Planning: Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to residents’ needs
• Assessment & Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical records and document changes using eCase
• Pain Management: Identify and address pain concerns using appropriate strategies
• Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies
• End‑of‑Life Care: Provide compassionate palliative and end‑of‑life support
