Job summary

Arcare is seeking a Registered Nurse Level 2 in Maroochydore to lead the care team and deliver person-centred nursing across residents. You will oversee staff, ensure clinical standards, and promote positive outcomes in a supportive workplace.

Role requires leadership, strong communication, and commitment to ongoing clinical excellence. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and above award rates in a state-of-the-art facility owned by Arcare.

Qualifications

• Min 2 years experience in a Supervisor role or Clinical Lead role within Aged Care.

Responsibilities

• Staff supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals.
• Clinical care: Deliver high-quality nursing care, including health assessments and monitoring.
• Wound management: Assess, treat and manage wounds and prevent infection.
• Care planning: Develop and implement individualised care plans.
• Assessment & documentation: Maintain clinical records and document changes using eCase.
• Pain management: Identify and address pain concerns.
• Emergency response: Respond to medical emergencies.
• End-of-Life care: Provide compassionate palliative and end-of-life support.

Job description

Hourly Rate Range $58.02 - $62.09 + Super + Shift Penalties (where applicable)
Mon - Thurs 7am - 3pm, 60 Hours P/F

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse Level 2, you will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the care team while providing high-quality, person-centred nursing care that promotes positive outcomes for residents, as well as adhering to Arcare’s values, policies, and professional clinical standards.

• Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers and support staff.
• Clinical Care: Deliver high-quality nursing care, including health assessments, monitoring vital signs, and medication management
• Wound Management: Assess, treat, and manage wounds while preventing infection
• Care Planning: Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to residents’ needs
• Assessment & Documentation: Maintain accurate clinical records and document changes using eCase
• Pain Management: Identify and address pain concerns using appropriate strategies
• Emergency Response: Respond effectively to medical emergencies
• End-of-Life Care: Provide compassionate palliative and end-of-life support

What we’re looking for

• Min 2 years experience in a Supervisor role or Clinical Lead role within Aged Care
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation Standards
• Expertise in medication administration and wound care with a commitment to ongoing clinical excellence.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Friendly, professional, and effective communication abilities
• Capability to effectively lead.
