Job summary

Jobwire is seeking a motivated Technical Sales Representative to join our client, a specialist railway equipment supplier, and drive business growth. The role blends technical knowledge with commercial execution, including identifying opportunities, delivering tailored solutions and building enduring customer relationships.

You will present, demo and run product trials, manage a healthy sales pipeline and collaborate with product managers to align solutions with customer needs.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Engineering, or relevant technical qualifications.
• 3+ years combined technical and sales/commercial experience.
• Experience or exposure to rail, rolling stock, infrastructure or industrial equipment (highly regarded).
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial thinking and a practical, problem-solving approach.
• A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and a current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify new customers and business opportunities across the rail and industrial sectors.
• Build and manage a strong sales pipeline.
• Understand customer needs and develop tailored technical solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations and product trials.
• Convert opportunities into sales and long-term partnerships.
