Job summary

Airswift seeks a Customer Director for a global rail leader to build strategic relationships, identify growth opportunities, and deliver solutions across rolling stock, maintenance, leasing and aftermarket parts.

Based in Perth, this permanent, full-time role leads commercial engagement, bids and negotiations with rail operators, and guides a cross-functional team to sustainable expansion; prior rail or heavy industry sales experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in account management, customer management, business development within the rail industry, mining or heavy industry.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholder groups including executive/board, engineering, workshop managers / technicians.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen relationships with existing rail customers in Western Australia, and engage in pursuit of new clients.
• Identify and pursue opportunities across rolling stock, maintenance, upgrades, leasing, and aftermarket services.
• Lead bids, tenders, commercial negotiations, and customer engagements.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasting.
• Work collaboratively across technical, operational, and commercial teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
