Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a hands-on Installer to support civil, infrastructure and construction projects across the region. You will install and remove trench safety, shoring and propping systems, working outdoors on busy sites with a skilled team.

Applicants should have construction-related experience, a valid driver’s licence, and the ability to read installation drawings. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is essential, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction, civil, infrastructure, utilities, earthmoving, equipment hire or related industry.
• Ability to read and interpret installation drawings and site plans.

Responsibilities

• Installing, modifying and removing trench shields, trench boxes, hydraulic shoring systems, slide rail systems and propping equipment.
• Working on major civil construction, infrastructure and utilities projects.
• Assisting with the interpretation of engineered installation drawings and site plans.
• Conducting equipment inspections before installation to ensure safety and compliance.
• Loading, unloading and securing equipment for transport to and from customer sites.
• Working alongside customers, operators and site personnel during installations.
• Safely recovering and demobilising equipment from completed projects.
• Identifying damaged or defective equipment and reporting maintenance requirements.
• Completing installation and equipment documentation accurately.
• Maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality on every project.

About the Role

You'll install and remove specialist trench safety, shoring and propping systems that help keep workers safe on critical projects. • Experience within construction, civil, infrastructure, utilities, earthmoving, equipment hire or a related industry.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Experience working with trench support, shoring, propping, formwork, excavation support systems or similar construction products.
• The ability to read and interpret installation drawings and site plans.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work outdoors in varying site and weather conditions.
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• A willingness to learn specialist systems and installation techniques.
