Job summary

United Rentals in Australia seeks a hands-on Installation Supervisor to lead installation crews on major construction and infrastructure projects, reading engineering drawings and ensuring safety and quality.

You will coordinate site activities, maintain equipment, mentor team members, and build strong client relationships while driving project objectives and compliance with Australian Standards.

About the Role

As a hands-on Installation Supervisor, you'll oversee crews installing and dismantling propping systems on some of the country's largest construction and infrastructure projects. You'll lead from the front, coordinate site activities and ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience leading small crews within construction, civil, infrastructure, rigging, steel erection, formwork, shoring or propping environments.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic or Intermediate Rigging ticket.
• Strong planning, organisational and people leadership skills.
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering plans.
• A proactive approach to safety, quality and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• A hands‑on attitude and willingness to lead from the front.
• Strong understanding of site safety requirements and safe work practices.
• A high level of physical fitness and ability to work on active construction sites.
