Job summary

United Rentals Australia/New Zealand is seeking a Sales Representative to drive growth in the Burton, SA region by introducing our trench safety and propping equipment portfolio to new and existing customers. In this frontline role you will visit sites, build relationships with major projects, and win new business across South Australia.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 3 years in construction or civil sales, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a resilient, results-focused

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years in a similar sales role in Construction, Civil, Infrastructure, Renewables or related industries.
• Ability to manage and retain business and win new leads.
• Positive, confident phone manner with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Being on the frontline of the Sales Team, you will be on the road creating new relationships and winning new business across South Australia.
• Find, connect with, and grow sales across major projects and with tier 1, 2, and 3 construction, civil and infrastructure businesses across SA.
• Help customers understand our points of difference and extensive equipment hire solutions.
• Represent the company professionally and ethically at all times.
• Maintain close relationships with existing accounts and ensure equipment and staff meet their requirements.

About the Role

Playing a pivotal part in our business the role of a Sales Representative - Burton, SA is to increase customer base by introducing our portfolio of products to existing and new customers in our Trench Safety & Propping division.

Key Responsibilities

• Being on the frontline of our Sales Team, you will be on the road creating new relationships and winning new business across South Australia.
• Find, connect with, and grow sales across major projects and with all the tier 1 and 2 and tier 3 construction, civil and infrastructure businesses across South Australia.
• Help our valued customers understand our points of difference, and extensive range of the Equipment Hire solutions.
• Represent the company professionally and ethically at all times
• Maintain close relationships with existing accounts and ensure the company’s equipment and staff are meeting their requirements.

About You

• Minimum of 3 years in a similar sales role in Construction, Civil, Infrastructure, Renewables or related industries
• Ability to manage and retain business
• Be creative in finding new leads to talk too, resilient attitude and results focused
• You must have a positive, confident phone manner with excellent communication skills
• You understand people and business: you relate well to the market of clients' empathising with the challenges they face every day
