Job summary

Stainless Tank & Mix in Sydney is seeking a Project Engineer to turn customer problems into practical engineered solutions by developing clear scopes, designs, and managing projects from idea to completion.

You will model concepts in SolidWorks, prepare budgets and costings, coordinate supplier quotes, and lead cross-functional teams while ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery across Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in the equipment manufacturing industry.
  • Experience with clients in Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG or a similar industry is preferred.
  • Strong organisation, planning, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering specifications, preliminary designs and material requirements for projects.
  • Attend customer site visits and translate discussions into clear scopes of work and preliminary design concepts.
  • Create concept models in SolidWorks.
  • Prepare budget estimates and detailed costings based on concept models, supplier inputs, and internal fabrication requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, schedule, and customer expectations.
  • Coordinate cross functional project teams and secure project support and resources.
  • Source and evaluate supplier quotes for equipment and services.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety and Q&FS standards during project execution.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including design files, change logs, cost updates, and customer communication records.
  • Be responsible for Engineering project budget and timing controls.

The Project Engineer is responsible for turning customer problems into practical engineered solutions by developing clear scopes, creating concept and detailed designs, and managing projects from initial idea through to completion. The role combines customer engagement, SolidWorks modelling, cost estimation, supplier coordination and project control to ensure each project meets safety, quality and performance requirements while staying on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
