Job summary

Bluestone Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer for a Sydney-based role focused on technical coordination of construction activities, ensuring seamless integration between design, services and delivery teams on site.

You will drive program, quality and compliance outcomes, manage design changes, liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders, and support procurement and safety planning.

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or similar.
  • Proven experience as Project Engineer in commercial or residential construction in Australia.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodology and project delivery.
  • Solid commercial and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with procurement, tendering, and subcontract management.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate design, engineering, and construction activities to ensure buildability and project delivery.
  • Drive program outcomes through planning, forecasting, and progress monitoring.
  • Manage design changes while maintaining cost and budget control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate design, engineering, and construction activities to ensure buildability and project delivery
  • Drive program outcomes through planning, forecasting, and progress monitoring
  • Manage design changes while maintaining cost and budget control
  • Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues

Key Skills & Experience
  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or similar

  • Sound commercial and financial acumen

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate effectively
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and organisational skills
