Job summary

Novus Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Project Coordinator for the cyber security and IT operations group. The role is based in Sydney or Melbourne with two days in the office, on a contract basis through to 30 June 2027 with potential extension.

You will support two programs: a cyber security uplift and the IT service operations Centre of Excellence, working with delivery leads and leadership teams to manage budgets and reporting while driving improvements using AI tools.

Qualifications

• Strong control of budgets, forecasts and actuals across cost centres.
• Understanding of cyber security functions and how they fit together.
• Familiarity with AI tools and, ideally, AI agents.
• Experience with SAP or a similar finance system; Jira is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Track budgets, forecasts and actuals across several cost centres and flag variances early.
• Maintain schedules, RAID logs and governance packs for delivery leads.
• Prepare reports for senior leadership, including board-level material.
• Provide timely, clear updates to stakeholders across programs.
• Organise cyber awareness activities across Sydney and Melbourne offices.

I’m hiring a Project Coordinator for the cyber security and IT operations group of a large ASX-listed organisation. You can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.

You’ll support two programs: a cyber security uplift, and the IT service operations Centre of Excellence.

You’ll work closely with the delivery leads who run the project portfolio, and with a leadership team who each own their own budgets.

Keeping the money tight matters most. You’ll be the person who knows where every cost centre stands.

What you’ll be doing:

• Tracking budgets, forecasts and actuals across several cost centres, and flagging variances early
• Keeping schedules, RAID logs and governance packs up to date for the delivery leads
• Pulling together reporting for senior leadership, including material that goes to executive and board level
• Keeping stakeholders informed with clear, regular updates
• Organising cyber awareness activities across the Sydney and Melbourne offices, such as campaigns during Cyber Security Awareness Month
• Spotting ways to improve how the team works, and using AI tools to speed things up

What we’re looking for:

• Strong control of budgets, forecasts and actuals, with good commercial sense
• An understanding of cyber security functions and how they fit together
• You use AI tools in your day-to-day work. Familiarity with AI agents is a big plus
• Experience in SAP or a similar finance system. Jira is a bonus
• Project coordination experience in a large organisation, ideally in technology or cyber
