We are looking for a Security Projects Manager to join the Technology & Transformation team. Joining a lean, close-knit team, this role is perfect for a proactive, self-motivated leader who can hit the ground running - taking full ownership of end-to-end project delivery, steering third-party vendors, navigating complex governance, and keeping technical scope, budgets, and schedules firmly on track.

Location: Sydney - Hybrid (1 day a week in CBD office)

Job Type: Contract until 30th June 27 (potential to extend - 3 year roadmap)

Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery: Lead end-to-end delivery of complex cyber security, IT infrastructure, and networking projects within time and budget constraints.
• Budget & Scope Management: Manage project schedules, financials, risks, and dependencies while providing regular updates to executive leadership.
• Vendor & Team Leadership: Direct cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams and manage third-party vendors to hold them accountable to contract milestones and quality standards.
• Governance & Problem Solving: Ensure full compliance with internal governance frameworks while proactively resolving project bottlenecks and risks.

Experience:

• Background: proven experience as an IT Project Manager overseeing complex data center, networking, or security projects.
• Industry Knowledge: Hands-on experience with financial services regulatory requirements or Federal Government security frameworks.
• Core Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, control third-party suppliers, and lead technical team members effectively.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport remotely across diverse teams.
