About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Production Team Leader to join their team in Narangba on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who can lead from the front, support the Production Manager and ensure the production team operates safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard.

About the Role

As Production Team Leader, you will:

Lead and supervise the production team on the factory floor, providing hands‑on guidance, training and support while ensuring team members follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements and wear appropriate PPE.

Drive production, quality and performance, ensuring daily KPIs and targets are achieved, conducting finished‑product inspections, maintaining production records and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and decision‑making.

Manage daily production operations, including completing and ensuring pre‑start inspections of machinery and forklifts, maintaining moulds, tools and equipment, and ensuring production, storage, lunchroom and smoko areas remain clean, organised and safe.

Communicate and report effectively, providing daily updates to the Production Manager, escalating operational, safety and critical matters when required, and obtaining management approval before making key leadership or organisational decisions.

Support the wider production operation, carrying out other duties as required and being available to work overtime to meet production requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous production or manufacturing experience, ideally including experience in production management, team leadership or supervision, with experience in precast concrete, construction products or a similar environment highly regarded.

Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to supervise, train, motivate and support team members, share knowledge, communicate effectively and lead by example.

A proactive and accountable approach, with strong organisational, analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, the ability to drive efficiencies, meet deadlines and KPIs, and manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

A professional and reliable work ethic, with the ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, assist with ad hoc duties and maintain high standards of quality, safety and workplace conduct.

Relevant operational skills and licences, including a current forklift licence and demonstrated competence operating a forklift, an understanding of quality and WHS requirements, and experience with production systems or DEAR highly regarded.

Current Forklift Licence (LF) with demonstrated competence and confidence operating a forklift.

Previous production, manufacturing or similar industry experience, including experience supervising or leading a team, with an understanding of quality standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Hands‑on and flexible approach, with the ability to work in a physically active production environment and willingness to work overtime when required.
