Job summary

DGL Group in Carole Park, QLD is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day production operations, drive safety and ensure quality to meet customer standards. You will manage planning, capacity, resources and performance, develop teams, and implement continuous improvement using Lean, 5S and GMP, while maintaining high housekeeping and environmental standards.

We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our team and day-to-day production operations at our Carole Park, QLD site.

About the role

Reporting to the relevant senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring production is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality and customer standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop production teams through coaching, communication and accountability.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with SHE policies and procedures.
• Manage production planning, capacity, resources and performance to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor production KPIs and drive improvements in productivity, quality and efficiency.
• Support the Site Manager in all areas of the business
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5’s, GMP and Lean principles.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems and manage NCRs and corrective actions.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, environmental performance and site security.
• Identify and reduce workplace hazards through employee engagement and risk assessments.
• Manage production costs, procurement requirements and inventory.
• Communicate business objectives, production performance and improvement initiatives to the team.

About You

You will be an experienced production or manufacturing leader with a strong focus on people, safety and operational performance.

You will ideally have:

• A qualification in Manufacturing, Production Management, Engineering, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in a production/manufacturing leadership role.
• Experience managing teams and driving operational performance.
• Knowledge of WHS/SHE and quality management systems.
• Experience with Lean, 5S, GMP or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
• Current Forklift Licence
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• A practical, hands-on approach and commitment to achieving high standards.
