Job summary

Excel Recruitment's client in Narangba, QLD is seeking a hands-on Production Team Leader to guide a manufacturing crew on a permanent, full-time basis. You will lead from the front, supervise daily operations, ensure safety, and drive KPI performance on the factory floor.

The role requires forklift experience and licence, strong leadership and communication, and a proactive, adaptable approach to meet production targets while maintaining quality and WHS standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on production leadership with ability to lead by example.
• Experience supervising production teams and maintaining safety standards.
• Forklift duties including pre-start checks and operations.
• Strong problem-solving, planning and KPI-driven mindset.
• Clear communication and ability to train and motivate staff.
• Familiarity with quality and WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the production team on the factory floor with hands‑on guidance.
• Drive production, quality and performance to achieve daily KPIs.
• Conduct pre-start inspections of machinery and forklifts and maintain tools.
• Maintain clean, safe production, storage and lunchroom areas.
• Provide daily updates to the Production Manager and escalate issues as needed.
• Overtime as required to meet production requirements.
