Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a portfolio of Melbourne hospitality stores across multiple concepts. The role blends strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to drive performance, guest experience and financial results.

You will work closely with store leaders to strengthen accountability, build capable teams and execute improvement plans across high-volume venues.

Qualifications

• Significant operations management experience within hospitality, food & beverage or a related customer-facing environment.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple stores or complex operations.
• Strong track record in leading and developing managers and operational teams.
• Sound commercial and financial acumen including P&L management, labour optimization and cost control.
• Ability to use operational data to identify priorities and drive improvement.
• Experience maintaining high standards across food safety, liquor compliance and workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership across a portfolio of hospitality stores.
• Coach, support and hold venue leaders accountable for performance and standards.
• Build leadership capability and develop engaged, high-performing teams.
• Maintain oversight of store performance including revenue, labour, cost control and profitability.
• Interpret financial and operational results and implement targeted improvement plans.
• Ensure service, product quality and guest experience standards are consistently delivered.
• Oversee recruitment, workforce planning, succession and talent development.
• Lead operational improvement initiatives, store openings and other key projects.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, liquor licensing and workplace safety.
• Build productive relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and external partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve operating efficiency and support sustainable growth.
• Maintain a regular presence across the venue portfolio, including during peak trading periods.
