Job summary

1834 Hospitality seeks a Director of Operations & Asset Performance to drive performance across a multi-property portfolio in Sydney. You will mentor General Managers, lead CapEx planning and asset refurbishment, and partner with Revenue, Sales and Finance to advance commercial objectives.

The role requires strong commercial acumen, a track record of profitability improvement, and the ability to develop future leaders while travelling across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Multi-property hotel leadership experience across diverse markets.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with track record of improving profitability.
• Ability to mentor General Managers and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management with owners and senior executives.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational and financial performance across the hotel portfolio.
• Support and mentor General Managers to achieve budget, EBITDA and guest satisfaction targets.
• Analyse performance metrics and implement practical improvement strategies.
• Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities across labour, procurement and operations.
• Lead operational reviews, audits and quality assurance programs.
• Partner with Revenue, Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to support commercial objectives.
• Lead CapEx planning, refurbishment projects and asset enhancement initiatives.
• Develop future leaders and contribute to succession planning across the portfolio.
