Job summary

You will lead frontline teams, drive Lean initiatives, and partner with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain to optimize performance.

The role focuses on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement, with accountability for production planning, cost management, and meeting customer expectations in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education preferred; equivalent combination considered.
• 5–8 years in manufacturing, production, operations, or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated leadership of production teams or frontline employees.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment operations, and performance management.
• Experience driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to production teams, supervisors, and hourly employees to meet targets.
• Ensure safe work practices and compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Lead daily operations, monitor performance, and execute production plans.
• Manage activities to achieve volume, quality, efficiency, and cost objectives.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain to improve reliability.
• Analyze metrics, identify improvements, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and problem-solving methodologies.
• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate with Maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, food safety requirements, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead investigations related to safety, quality, and process inefficiencies.
• Support scheduling and resource planning to optimize workforce utilization.
• Develop communication routines like shift meetings and performance reviews.
• Coach and develop supervisors and employees to strengthen capabilities and succession.
