Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company seeks an Extraction Superintendent to oversee the Deerfield, MO soybean crush plant. The role ensures safe, compliant operations, quality standards, and continuous process improvements while developing personnel.

You will collaborate with the Plant Manager and cross-functional teams to achieve short- and long-term objectives, manage costs, and promote a strong safety culture in a 24/7 facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a continuous manufacturing industry (food, feed or chemicals manufacturing).
• Minimum of 2 years of production and supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated strong commitment and experience leading plant health and safety programs as well as quality and food safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient operations and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to plant, process, personnel, product, and environmental emergencies.
• Work with Plant Manager to set short- and long-term goals and plan strategically.
• Coordinate with Loadout and Biodiesel Superintendents as needed.
• Lead and develop colleagues to achieve plant goals and drive continuous improvement.
