Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company in Plains, KS seeks a Superintendent to manage the grain elevator’s daily operations, including loading/unloading, sampling, grading, transferring, blending and storage. This role ensures OSHA and regulatory compliance while leading hourly staff.

You will train personnel, oversee safety and food safety programs, and drive continuous improvements to meet production objectives. Strong troubleshooting, GMP/HACCP experience and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; OJT accepted with HS diploma.
• Experience developing a team (2–3 years) and strong problem solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and communication tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and health compliance; lead safety processes.
• Oversee GMP, HACCP, FSMA; manage daily plant operations and quality control.
• Maintain and improve maintenance, sanitation, and operating schedules.
• Develop employees; train hourly labor and improve efficiency.
• Lead preventive maintenance scheduling and cost-saving initiatives.
• Document incidents and enforce discipline when needed.
