Job summary

BlueCare, part of UnitingCare Queensland, Kingaroy Canowindra Aged Care Facility, is seeking a Personal Carer for casual shifts covering AM, PM and night slots, including every second weekend. The role focuses on daily living support, care planning and community activities to enhance residents’ quality of life.

You will need a Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent, experience with technology, and NDIS screening or willingness to obtain it.

  • Experience with devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops.
  • NDIS Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at meal times and general mobility.
  • Provide care in accordance with individualised Care Plan.
  • Support with community based recreational and social activities.

  • Employment Status: Casual position available

  • Location: Kingaroy Canowindra Aged Care Facility

  • Remuneration:$36.32 p/hr ($45.40 for casual) + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay) + Penalties & Allowances + Employee discounts

  • Must be available to work across AM (6am - 2:30pm) PM (2pm to 10:30pm) & Night shifts (10pm to 6:30am), including every second weekend.

About the role:

As aPersonal Careryou’ll provide care to your clients living in our residential home, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life through activities that include:

  • Daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, help at meal times and general mobility

  • Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan

  • Supporting with community based recreational and social activities

Role requirements:

  • Certificate III Aged Care, Home and Community Care, Disability Support, or an equivalent qualification

  • Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc

  • Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

  • NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain
