Job summary

BlueCare in Queensland is seeking a Personal Carer to deliver in-community care to clients in Gladstone and surrounding areas. This permanent part-time role focuses on supporting independence and improving quality of life, with visits to clients’ homes and daily living assistance.

You’ll work with individual Care Plans, assist with mobility, meals, personal care, and accompany clients to appointments. A current driver’s licence and a roadworthy vehicle are essential, along with probity checks

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Vehicle with roadworthy/insurance for work use.
• Experience with technology (smartphones, tablets, laptops).
• Willingness to undergo probity checks as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care to clients in the community.
• Assist with daily living activities (showering, meals, dressing, housekeeping).
• Support clients to maintain independence and quality of life.
• Follow individual Care Plans and document progress.
• Support clients with community-based activities and appointments.

About The Role

As a Personal Carer, you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role Requirements

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
