Job summary

BlueCare in Ingham is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in their homes, promoting independence and improving quality of life through daily activities.

You will travel between visits, provide in-home personal care, assist with meals, hygiene, housekeeping, and accompany clients to appointments, delivering compassionate, respectful care with a person-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent is essential.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence is essential.
• Vehicle that is roadworthy and insured for work use is essential.
• Experience with smartphones, tablets, laptops or similar technology.
• Willingness to satisfy probity checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care per the individual Care Plan.
• Assist with daily living activities and daily chores.
• Support clients with mobility, meals, cleaning and laundry.
• Travel between visits and accompany clients to appointments.
• Engage clients in community activities to support independence.

About The Role

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role Requirements

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
