Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Personal Carer to provide in-home care to clients in Emerald and surrounding areas. You will support independence and quality of life through daily living activities and care plans.

You will travel to client homes, assist with daily tasks, and contribute to a supportive team delivering trusted community care across Australia.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Aged Care, or an equivalent qualification, is essential.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) is essential.
• Vehicle with roadworthiness and insurance (Third Party Property minimum) to use for work.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home personal care and daily living assistance.
• Assist clients with daily activities such as showering, meals, housekeeping, laundry and ironing.

About The Role

As a Personal Carer, you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role Requirements

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
