Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Personal Carer to support clients in Charters Towers and surrounding areas. You will travel to clients’ homes to assist with daily living tasks, personal care, meal prep, and light housework, following each client’s Care Plan.

Essential qualifications include a Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent and a current Australian driver’s licence; a roadworthy vehicle is required. Training and benefits are provided in a Not-for-Profit setting.

• Vehicle with roadworthy & insurance (Third Party Property minimum) for work - Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy probity checks required by legislation or policies

Responsibilities

• Spend time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients in their homes
• Provide in-home personal care including showering, hygiene, meals, housekeeping, laundry
• Deliver care according to each client’s Care Plan
• Support participation in community-based social and recreational activities
• Assist with transportation, shopping and appointments

About the role:

As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.
