Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland is seeking a Personal Carer for BlueCare Community Care in Charleville. The role is casual and involves visiting clients at home to support daily living, personal care, and mobility.

You’ll work across Charleville and surrounding areas, following individual care plans and assisting with community activities. Eligible candidates will hold Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent, have a valid Australian driver’s licence, and access to a roadworthy vehicle.

• Vehicle to use for work – Essential
• Experience with technology (smartphones/tablets/laptops)

Responsibilities

• Spending time on the road visiting clients in their homes to support daily activities
• Assisting with personal care and daily living tasks
• Carrying out care in accordance with each client’s Care Plan
• Supporting clients with community activities and appointments
• Providing transportation support and shopping assistance

About the role:

As aPersonal Careryou’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.

• Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
• In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
• Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
• Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
• Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:

• Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
• Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
• Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
• Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies
