Job summary

Australian Unity Limited invites you to join our team to support elderly clients (65+) at home. We welcome entry-level and experienced carers in Western NSW, including Lightning Ridge.

You will perform domestic tasks and, for experienced carers, personal care and transportation support, with travel involved for training. This permanent part-time or casual role offers flexible hours (20–40 per fortnight) and an hourly rate of AU$31.13–AU$34.93 plus 12% super and a km travel allowance, plus paid

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid Australian driver's licence with your own car
• Must be available to work 6 hours/day 8am-6pm, Mon-Fri (flexible for right candidate)
• Commitment to paid training (2-week Brilliant @ Basics) with travel for training
• This role is NOT a vacancy for disability work or to work in a facility/nursing home

Responsibilities

• Entry-Level Carers: provide domestic tasks such as cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, and meal prep
• Experienced Carers: provide personal care including showering, toileting, medication assistance, and transport support
• Be a friendly face and brighten clients' day, and support clients in their homes with compassionate care

Do you meet these minimum requirements?

• Live in the Western NSW area including surrounding suburbs Lightning Ridge
• Hold a current Australian Drivers' Licence with your own car (sorry, we cannot accept International license's or shared/rental vehicles)
• Available to work a minimum of 6 hours a day between 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday - but we are flexible for the right candidate!
• Commitment to our paid 2-week Brilliant @ Basics Training when you start! (Get ready to learn, grow & be supported!) Travel is required for training.

What this role offers:

• Open to Entry Level & Experienced candidates

• Permanent Contract hours: 20-40 hours per fortnight + flex up hours.
• Hourly Rate: $31.13 - $34.93 per hour + 12% super + $0.92/km allowance + paid travel time
