Job summary

Calvary Aged Care is seeking compassionate Personal Care Workers to join our team across permanent part-time and casual opportunities. You will support residents with daily living, hygiene, mobility and well-being in a respectful, resident-centered environment.

This role requires Certificate Level III (Individual Support) and strong communication, prioritisation, WH&S and infection-control awareness. Flexible hours and salary packaging available enhance work‑life balance.

Qualifications

• Certificate Level III (Individual Support) or equivalent qualification.
• Effective interpersonal communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritise workloads.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
• Experience in aged care, health care or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to live the life they choose, promoting independence.
• Facilitate one‑on‑one activities aligned to the care plan for wellbeing.
• Contribute to residents' physical, emotional and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation.
• Deliver personal care tasks within the approved framework, including hygiene and continence management.
• Assist residents with mobility as per the care plan.

About the role

Your main duties will include:

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence
• Assist the resident in one on one activities that support their well-being inclusive of hobbies and interests that are aligned to the care plan
• Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation
• Works within an established and agreed framework to deliver a range of personal care tasks, including but not limited to daily hygiene for example showering, shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care and continence management
• Assist residents who require assistance with mobility as per care plan

About you

• Certificate Level III (Individual Support)
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care, health care or hospitality
