Calvary Capel Sands is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Worker in Capel Sound, VIC. This casual role supports residents with dignity and independence, delivering personalised care in a warm aged care setting.

Qualifications

• NDIS clearance check or willingness to obtain one
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care, or health care
• Flexible hours that make sense for you

Responsibilities

• Support residents to live the life they choose, exercising their independence.
• Assist residents in one-on-one activities aligned to the care plan.
• Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation.
• Deliver personal care tasks including hygiene: showering, shaving, dressing, mouth/eye care and continence management.
• Assist residents who require mobility support per the care plan

Your main duties will include:

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence
• Assist the resident in one-on-one activities that support their well-being inclusive of hobbies and interests that are aligned to the care plan
• Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation
• Works within an established and agreed framework to deliver a range of personal care tasks, including but not limited to daily hygiene for example showering, shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care and continence management
• Assist residents who require assistance with mobility as per care plan

About you
