Job summary

Calvary Barongarook Gardens in Colac VIC is seeking Personal Care Workers who are passionate about supporting residents to live with independence and dignity.

You will work in a compassionate team delivering holistic personal care, daily living support, and meaningful activities aligned to each resident’s care plan.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal communication in written and verbal forms.
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a busy care setting.
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control.
• Demonstrated experience in a similar aged care/healthcare/hospitality role.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to exercise choice and independence.
• Assist residents in one-on-one activities aligned to care plans and interests.
• Contribute to physical, emotional and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation.
• Deliver a range of personal care tasks including daily hygiene and grooming.
• Assist residents with mobility as per care plan.

About the role

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of residents? Calvary Aged Care invites compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team as Personal Care Workers. This is an opportunity to be part of a caring community committed to providing exceptional care to our residents.

Your main duties will include:

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence
• Assist the resident in one-on-one activities that support their well-being inclusive of hobbies and interests that are aligned to the care plan
• Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation
• Works within an established and agreed framework to deliver a range of personal care tasks, including but not limited to daily hygiene for example showering,shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care and continence management
• Assist residents who require assistance with mobility as per care plan

About you

• Certificate Level III (Individual Support)
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care, health care or hospitality
