Job summary

Calvary Aged Care invites compassionate Personal Care Workers to join our Bendigo Mirridong team. You will support residents with daily living, assist with activities, and help maintain independence in line with individual care plans.

This 9‑month fixed‑term contract is for maternity coverage, with permanent part‑time roles available. We value compassion, reliability and respectful communication, and offer ongoing training and salary packaging benefits.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support is required.
• Experience in aged care, healthcare or hospitality is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of WH&S and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities and independence.
• Assist residents in one-on-one activities aligned with care plans.
• Document observations to inform care decisions.
• Deliver personal care tasks including hygiene, grooming and continence management.
• Assist residents with mobility per care plan.

About the role

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of residents? Calvary Aged Care invites compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team as Personal Care Workers. This is an opportunity to be part of a caring community committed to providing exceptional care to our residents at Calvary Mirridong located in Bendigo VIC.

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract position.

Also, available permanent part time roles.

Your main duties will include:

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence
• Assist the resident in one-on-one activities that support their well-being inclusive of hobbies and interests that are aligned to the care plan
• Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation
• Works within an established and agreed framework to deliver a range of personal care tasks, including but not limited to daily hygiene for example showering,shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care and continence management
• Assist residents who require assistance with mobility as per care plan

About you

• Certificate Level III (Individual Support)
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care, health care or hospitality
