Job summary

Calvary Health Care in Anglesea, VIC, is seeking Personal Care Workers to join Calvary Cordelia Grove. You will support residents with daily living, attend to hygiene, mobility and wellbeing, and help create a caring, dignified environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate Level III (Individual Support) is required.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Ability to prioritise workloads in a team environment.
• Knowledge of WH&S and infection control practices.
• Previous aged care/health care/hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to live the life they choose, exercising choice and independence.
• Assist residents in one-on-one activities aligned to care plans.
• Contributes to physical, emotional and lifestyle needs through assessment and observation.
• Deliver personal care tasks including hygiene, showering, shaving, dressing, and continence management.
• Assist residents who require mobility support as per care plan.

Your main duties will include:

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence
• Assist the resident in one‑on‑one activities that support their well‑being inclusive of hobbies and interests that are aligned to the care plan
• Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation
• Works within an established and agreed framework to deliver a range of personal care tasks, including but not limited to daily hygiene for example showering, shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care and continence management
• Assist residents who require assistance with mobility as per care plan

About You

• Certificate Level III (Individual Support)
• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care, health care or hospitality
