Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and spoken).

• Previous experience in aged care, healthcare or hospitality settings.

Responsibilities

• Support residents to live the life they choose, promoting independence.
• Engage residents in one-on-one activities aligned to care plans.
• Assess and observe to support physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
• Deliver personal care tasks within the approved care framework (hygiene, grooming, continence).
• Assist with mobility as outlined in the care plan.

About the role

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of residents? Calvary Aged Care invites compassionate individuals to join our dedicated team as Personal Care Workers. This is an opportunity to be part of a caring community committed to providing exceptional care to our residents.

Your main duties will include:

• Support residents to live the life they choose allowing them to exercise choice and independence
• Assist the resident in one on one activities that support their well-being inclusive of hobbies and interests that are aligned to the care plan
• Contributes to the physical, emotional and lifestyle needs and wants of the residents, through assessment and observation
• Works within an established and agreed framework to deliver a range of personal care tasks, including but not limited to daily hygiene for example showering, shaving, dressing, mouth and eye care and continence management
• Assist residents who require assistance with mobility as per care plan

About you

• Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
• Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role in aged care, health care or hospitality
