Job summary

People and Culture Limited is seeking a People Systems Data Analyst at South Bank, QLD to support auditing of HRIS data and Workday-related processes. You will guide HR and business users, troubleshoot data issues and contribute to data quality improvements.

The role requires 0–2 years in HR/data analysis with strong Excel skills and a proactive learning mindset. Workday experience is valued, and collaboration with HR, GPS and payroll teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years’ experience working with HR, payroll or HRIS data, with Workday experience preferred, or demonstrated aptitude for learning complex systems.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to coach users and explain data concepts to non-technical colleagues.
• Familiarity with HR processes, payroll, HR technology or data analysis in a professional environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality and accuracy.
• Experience in a support, data analyst or HR operations role is advantageous.
• Workday training or certification is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support users of the People Systems data auditing tool, helping them understand audit findings, flagged records and required actions.
• Coach HR, GPS and business users on running audits, interpreting results and resolving exceptions.
• Investigate data exceptions, identify root causes and determine where corrections need to be made.
• Guide users through Workday corrections using appropriate business processes, or action corrections where required and permitted.
• Support bulk data corrections, testing and approvals under the guidance of senior team members.
• Help align data across Workday, local payroll systems and Core by identifying where corresponding corrections are needed.
• Build and maintain basic Workday reports to support auditing and validation.
• Identify recurring data quality trends and root causes to support process and training improvements.
• Support validation and regression testing for Workday releases and system changes, including logging defects.
• Create and maintain user guides, job aids, FAQs and knowledge resources.
• Build strong working relationships with HR, GPS, payroll and other stakeholders, and contribute to workshops and requirements-gathering activities.
