Job summary

Vorwerk Australia Pty is seeking a Payroll, Data & Administration Officer to join our People & Culture team in Melbourne. The role combines payroll processing, data management, reporting, and administrative support to ensure payroll accuracy and data integrity.

You will work with systems, demonstrate strong numerical accuracy, and drive process improvements while delivering timely payroll and informed workforce insights.

Qualifications

  • Experience using Employment Hero, payroll processing and administration.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • A proactive approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Administration: process end-to-end payroll in line with legislation and policies.
  • Data Management & Reporting: maintain employee data and prepare dashboards and reports.
  • Administration Support: manage documents, onboarding/offboarding, and filing.
  • Compliance and enquiries: handle payroll tax, superannuation, and related audits.
  • System updates and data accuracy: support HRIS and payroll system improvements.
  • Provide timely payroll and workforce analytics for decision-making.

This is a diverse role that combines payroll processing, people data management, reporting, and general administrative support. You will play a critical role in ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining data integrity, and supporting the smooth operation of our People & Culture administration duties.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with systems, has strong analytical skills, shows initiative, has a ‘can-do’ and team player attitude, enjoys process improvement and takes pride in delivering accurate and efficient outcomes.

About the role You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
Payroll Administration
  • Process end-to-end payroll in accordance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages, salaries, allowances, and superannuation.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and manage payroll-related enquiries.
  • Process new starters, terminations, leave payments, and payroll adjustments.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations, audits, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Work, taxation, superannuation, and payroll legislation.
  • Support Workcover premium requirements.
Data Management & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate employee and organisational data across HRIS, payroll, and other business systems.
  • Prepare regular reports and HR dashboards relating to workforce metrics, payroll, and operational data.
  • Monitors data quality and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support system updates, data audits, and reporting projects.
  • Assist with analysis of people and operational data to support business decision-making.
Administration Support
  • Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture team.
  • Manage employee documentation, contracts, correspondence, and filing systems.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding administration.
  • Assist with compliance tracking, record management, and policy administration.
  • Support internal communication and employee engagement initiatives as required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience using Employment Hero, payroll processing and administration.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems.
