Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a Payroll Officer to deliver accurate, timely payroll services across a large workforce. You will manage end-to-end processing and respond to employee queries in a collaborative finance team.

This permanent, full-time role offers a flexible hybrid arrangement (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) and strong career development within a well-established Australian manufacturer. Experience with SAP, iChris or ADP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous payroll experience within a high-volume environment.
• Exposure to large payroll systems such as SAP, iChris, ADP or Payglobal.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive and team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end processing of a high-volume fortnightly payroll
• Managing new starter, employee change and termination documentation
• Responding to payroll-related enquiries from employees and stakeholders
• Processing salary adjustments, employee maintenance and payroll amendments
• Assisting with month-end and year-end payroll activities
• Maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, awards and company policies
• General payroll administration and employee onboarding support

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Payroll, you will play a key role in the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services across a large employee workforce.
