GenesisCare in Rockhampton is seeking a friendly Medical Receptionist (Patient Services Officer) to support our clinical team and keep the front desk running smoothly. In this permanent role, you will coordinate patient appointments, handle enquiries, maintain patient records with confidentiality, and warmly welcome patients and families on their treatment journey.

You'll join a supportive team delivering compassionate cancer care with a 9‑day fortnight and every second Monday off, helping you

Qualifications

• Previous experience in administration or reception in a busy environment.
• Warm, approachable personality with a genuine desire to help others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Confidence using computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
• Positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support colleagues.
• Caring and empathetic approach when supporting patients.

Responsibilities

• Be the friendly, welcoming face of our centre, ensuring patients and their families feel comfortable and supported.
• Coordinate patient appointments, manage bookings and maintain efficient daily clinic schedules.
• Respond to patient enquiries, process referrals and assist with general administration.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Work closely with our clinical teams to ensure a smooth and positive patient experience.
• Contribute to a welcoming, organised and supportive centre environment.
