Job summary

UnitingCare Queensland’s Lifeline retail team in Proserpine seeks a dedicated Retail Supervisor to lead daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and drive sales in a not-for-profit context.

You will manage staff and volunteers, mentor teams, and promote Lifeline’s vital services while maintaining community trust and strong merchandising standards. This part-time role offers meaningful work and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in retail management (or hospitality management with a retail background).
• Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Experience coaching and mentoring staff and volunteers.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use store systems, POS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Promote Lifeline's purpose and service to the community.
• Manage all aspects of a retail operation and drive sales targets.
• Work with staff and volunteers on pricing, visual merchandising and promotions.
• Maintain effective communication with the team and stakeholders.
• Identify issues and opportunities from selling and feedback.
• Set objectives and prioritise tasks aligned to business strategy.
• Coach and develop direct reports to improve performance.
