Job summary

UnitingCare Community, Lifeline Queensland, is seeking a Retail Supervisor in Proserpine to lead a store, deliver exceptional customer service and support Lifeline’s crisis support programs. This permanent part‑time role (25 hours per week, Monday to Friday) offers a hourly rate of $29.45 plus super, NFP salary packaging and a commission program for high performers.

Qualifications

• Be passionate about Lifeline and be able to articulate its purpose
• Demonstrated experience in retail management (or hospitality management with retail background) including coaching
• Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and exceed expectations
• Demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn fundamentals of store roles (customer service, visual presentation, online marketing, stock control)
• Create a values-driven, diverse and safe employment environment that attracts and retains skilled employees and volunteers
• Communicate promotional event information to maximise results
• Identify issues and opportunities based on trends and customer feedback
• Setting and exceeding priorities to meet daily deadlines; developing plans for short-term objectives
• Strong problem solving and influencing skills
• Ability to use retail business systems, POS and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate passion for Lifeline and promote its purpose through actions and outcomes
• Manage all aspects of a retail operation and delegate responsibilities to achieve sales targets
• Work with staff and volunteers to review pricing, visual merchandising, promotions and selling techniques to maintain profitability
• Maintain effective communication within team, regional support and external stakeholders; assist with customer enquiries
• Identify issues and opportunities from selling and customer feedback
• Set objectives and prioritise tasks linked to business strategy
• Coach and develop direct reports daily with development goals tied to business objectives
