Job summary

Lifeline Queensland, part of UnitingCare Queensland, is seeking an Assistant Retail Supervisor to lead store operations and deliver outstanding customer service within 120 stores across Queensland. You will support pricing, merchandising, promotions and staff development while contributing to a not-for-profit mission that helps save lives.

You’ll work with volunteers and staff, coaching team members to meet sales targets, maintain visual standards and ensure high service levels.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management (or hospitality management).
• Experience in coaching and mentoring people.
• Ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
• Willingness to learn store roles: customer service, visual presentation, online marketing, stock control.
• Commitment to a diverse and safe employment environment.

Responsibilities

• Promote Lifeline service and its value to the community.
• Support the Retail Supervisor in all aspects of retail operation.
• Review pricing, visual merchandising, promotions and selling techniques to maintain and improve profitability.
• Maintain effective communication within the team, regional support and external stakeholders; assist with customer complaints/enquiries.
• Identify issues and opportunities from selling and customer feedback.
• Set objectives and prioritise tasks aligned to business strategy.
• Coach and develop direct reports daily, linking development goals to performance.
