Job summary

St Therese'S Primary School, New Lambton is seeking a permanent part-time Learning Support Teacher (K-6) to commence January 2027.

The role focuses on identifying and supporting students with additional learning needs within a Catholic school community. The teacher will collaborate with parents, staff and external providers to deliver interventions and differentiate the curriculum in line with Australian standards.

Qualifications

• Identify students with special educational needs and work with parents, CSO personnel and external providers.
• Deliver targeted interventions and support curriculum differentiation as directed by leaders.
• Collaborate with class teachers to design, implement and monitor personalised adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with special educational needs and coordinate assessment procedures.
• Deliver intervention sessions and support teachers with curriculum differentiation.
• Collaborate with staff to implement and monitor adjustments documented in Personalised Plans or Learner Profiles.
• Contribute to development of inclusive learning environments and disability supports.
• Prepare documentation in line with privacy and disability obligations.
