St John's Primary School in Lambton is seeking a permanent full-time Learning Support Teacher (K-6) for the 2027 school year. The role focuses on identifying students with special educational needs, delivering targeted interventions, and differentiating curriculum with support from the Leadership team.

The teacher will collaborate with classroom teachers, CSO personnel and external providers, using data to tailor adjustments.

Qualificações

• Ability to articulate a clear understanding of Catholic education and the mission of the Church.
• Experience working with students with disability (K-6).
• Collaborate with school staff, CSO staff and external stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Experience in delivering professional learning for staff and parents.
• Data-driven approach to determine adjustments for students.
• Prepare Personalised Plans and Learner Profiles for students with disability.
• Experience supporting student enrolment and transitions.
• Knowledge of Disability legislation and NCCD requirements.
• Excellent organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with identifying students with special educational needs and coordinate with parents and CSO.
• Deliver intervention, teach students, and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation.
• Collaborate to design, implement, monitor and review adjustments as documented in plans.
• Work with Learning Support personnel to support students.
• Contribute to staff professional development and parent education programs.
• Liaise with relevant schools during transitions and enrolment periods.
• Prepare submissions under privacy, confidentiality and disability obligations.
• Support development of inclusive learning environments.
• Assist in building capacity of school staff in Special Education.
