Job summary

St John's Primary School, Lambton seeks a permanent full-time School Learning Support Teacher for 2027, with possible earlier start. The role supports students from Kindergarten to Year 6, delivering intervention, curriculum differentiation and inclusive practices within a Catholic context.

The successful candidate will collaborate with staff and CSO personnel, prepare personalised plans, and contribute to professional development and data-driven planning to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates commitment to Catholic education and mission.
• Experience with students with disability in K-6 settings.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, CSO personnel, and external partners.
• Experience delivering professional learning to staff and parents.
• Ability to use assessment data to tailor adjustments for students.
• Experience preparing Personalised Plans and Learner Profiles.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with special educational needs and coordinate referrals.
• Deliver interventions and assist curriculum differentiation.
• Collaborate on design and monitoring of adjustments in PP/LP.
• Support inclusive learning environments across classrooms.
• Contribute to staff PD and parent education programs.
• Liaise with schools during transitions and enrolments.
• Prepare required documentation under legislation and NCCD submissions.
• Assist in building school capacity in Special Education.
