Responsibilities

• Assist with identification of students with special educational needs; consult with parents, colleagues and CSO personnel; facilitate referral and assessment procedures.
• Deliver intervention, teach students, and assist teachers with curriculum differentiation as directed by Learning Support leadership.
• Collaborate with class teachers to design, implement, monitor and review adjustments documented in Personalised Plans or Learner Profiles.
• Work with other Learning Support personnel to provide services across K-6.
• Contribute to staff professional development and parent education programs.
• Liaise with relevant schools during transition periods.
• Assist in preparing documentation for privacy, confidentiality and disability obligations, including pre-enrolment submissions and NCCD submissions.
• Support development of inclusive learning environments and programs for students with disability.
• Assist in building school staff capacity in Special Education; align practices with Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
