Job summary

St Therese's Primary School in New Lambton seeks a permanent part-time Learning Support Teacher (K-6), starting January 2027. Collaborate with staff and parents to support inclusive education and disability needs. Maintain documentation and contribute to professional development.

The role requires NSW teacher accreditation, postgraduate special education qualifications, and WWCC clearance. Salary aligns with NSW Catholic Systemic Schools agreement, with 0.6FTE employment and a 3-day week.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Catholic education mission and Church ethos.
• Experience with students with disability in K-6 settings.
• Ability to gather and use assessment data for adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with special educational needs and coordinate with parents and staff.
• Deliver intervention, teach curriculum differentiation, and support classroom teachers.
• Collaborate to design and monitor adjustments in Personalised Plans.
• Work with Learning Support personnel and contribute to staff PD.
• Assist with documentation for enrolment and transitions.
