Job summary

voco Gold Coast is seeking a Part-Time Commis Chef to join our Kitchen team. You will support daily food preparation and service, delivering high standards and learning from an experienced team.

The role emphasises working in a fast-paced environment, maintaining hygiene and safety, and collaborating with chefs across Food & Beverage. Weekend/evening shifts and a genuine passion for hospitality are expected.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally in a hotel.
• Genuine passion for food and hospitality.
• Able to work in a busy, supportive team.
• Reliable, organised and able to work under pressure.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
• Holds relevant cookery qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present dishes to a high standard.
• Support the kitchen team across preparation and service.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste.
• Collaborate with chefs and the wider Food & Beverage team.
• Bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn every shift.
