Job summary

Paediatric People is a specialist medical clinic in Melbourne seeking a casual Medical Receptionist to greet patients, manage bookings, and support the clinical team with administrative tasks. The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and a proactive attitude to maintain a warm, organized environment.

Candidates should have experience in medical or allied health reception, strong computer skills with Microsoft 365, and be comfortable with busy, patient-focused work.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical, dental, or allied health reception or administration is a must!!
• Strong computer skills, accuracy and speed in navigating patient management software and Microsoft 365 are essential. Experience with Xestro Patient Management Software is ideal, but if you are a quick learner and not afraid to jump in, this won't be an issue.
• A strong ability to multitask and prioritise. We have very important patients to care for, and some days can be stressful; we want someone who thrives in a busy environment and pays attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential—candidates must be warm, friendly, and able to interact empathetically with patients and families.
• Team players who support each other and help wherever possible ensure a wonderful experience for colleagues, doctors, patients, and families.
