Job summary

Hyde Perth, part of Ennismore, seeks an Assistant Night Manager to support overnight hotel operations, guest check-ins/outs, and safety standards. You will collaborate with the Night Manager and other departments to ensure seamless handovers and exceptional guest experiences.

You will lead a small overnight team, resolve guest concerns, and assist with Night Audit duties, with two overnight shifts per week including weekends.RSA and First Aid certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ supervisory or management experience in Front Office within a luxury or upscale hotel, ideally in an overnight role.
• Strong decision-making and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
• Confident leadership style, with the ability to support and guide a small team.
• Experience with PMS systems (Opera Cloud preferred) and Night Audit or financial processes.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong guest‑first mindset.
• Availability to work two overnight shifts per week, including weekends and public holidays as required.
• Confidence in emergency response procedures, with Chief Warden or First Aid experience highly regarded.
• Current RSA and First Aid certifications, or willingness to obtain them.
• Current, valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with overnight check-ins, check-outs, and guest requests with professionalism and warmth.
• Support the resolution of guest concerns, ensuring positive outcomes and a high standard of service.
• Assist with the coordination of overnight hotel operations, working collaboratively with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering.
• Conduct property walkthroughs to support hotel safety, security, cleanliness, and brand standards.
• Respond to overnight incidents and emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with Night Audit duties, including daily reconciliations and report preparation, as required.
• Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and handover notes to support effective communication with the morning team.
• Support and guide overnight team members, helping maintain service standards and ensuring the hotel is ready for the day ahead.
• Work collaboratively with the Night Manager and wider leadership team to ensure consistent operational standards and an exceptional guest experience.
